My love of drumming started at a very young age. My father is a musician and from the time I was twelve years old I was playing the drum set and performing professionally with him. Since then, I continue to play professionally and I have performed and toured through out the United States and Europe.
I view teaching as part of my art form and it is the way that I am able to share my experience and help others. I have been teaching for over twenty years. I worked at the Third Street Music School in Manhattan for thirteen years and helped them to build a strong drum set program. At Third Street I was able to hone my teaching skills and I also I gained experience going into schools as a teaching artist and leading group drumming and world percussion classes.
I started Path To Rhythm in 2008 as a way to share my love of drumming and passion for teaching with as many people as possible. I lead and facilitate groups of people to help them celebrate and connect through rhythm.
I currently live in New York with my wife Tara and our son Jackson. When I am not drumming or leading drumming programs, I enjoy spending time with my son and fishing.
“I create joy, love, connection and support by fearlessly sharing my rhythm with the world.”
