Early Childhood Education Conference

Hello Early Childhood Educators, and welcome to my home base!

I hope that you enjoyed our early morning drumming session today, and that you are inspired to create your own drumming activities with your students and families.

If you wish to have a digital copy of the hand out from the session “Drumming With Young Children: Ideas and Inspiration for Rhythmic Activities”, you can download a PDF copy here.

I encourage you to learn more about drumming activities for your class room. My two favorite books that I use as resources are both written by friends of mine.

The first is Together in Rhythm, by Kalani. And the second book is Drumagination, by Dave Holland.

Here is a link to a website that has the frame drums that I use and mentioned during the presentation. http://www.peripole.com/items/view/1035

I feel that it is never to young (or to old!) to start drumming, and as educators, you are in a unique position to help introduce children to rhythm making. I practice this with my own son, Jackson. Here he is drumming at 10 months old in this short 25 second video.

We also work with camp directors to help bring drumming programs to campers in the summer, to learn more please visit this page.

And if you know any one who is looking to throw a fun, unique and interactive birthday party for their child, please visit our Birthday Parties page here.

I would love to stay in touch- if you put your name and email in the big red box in the upper right corner of this page, you will join my monthly newsletter, where I share tips, stories, resources and information to help you and your students live a fuller life enriched with music making.

Best Wishes,

Adam Issadore
